"i am working on the ambients cycle since 2000.
{ ambients_1–10 } were composed using lars kindermann‘s sonification tool the music in the numbers.
my aim was to generate static three minute soundscapes with very slow developments. the concept follows french composer erik satie‘s idea of a musique d‘ambeublement. another inspiration was the ambient music of aphex twin.
{ ambient_11 } is a less strict re-formulation of this concept.
the microtonal melodic parts were generated with the help of paul whalley‘s algorithmic composition software tangent, the noise particles were played manually."
