expiremental 2.0 arrived

expiremental.com has been active as a weblabel from 2002–2011. We now call it expiremental 1.0, and all the releases of that period are available at archive.org

The original logo was based on a then modern pixel type, and the website was a hell of table work, just like most websites from the early 2000s…

expiremental 2.0 (if you like) takes up where 1.0 stopped: A platform for unconventional, experimental sounds and arts, this time not focussed on certain media but open for all sorts of presentation: online or offline, performance or media…

The former logo has been reworked, hope you like it.

As the numbering stopped in 2011 with ex25, it’s the ideal choice to continue that numbering in 2025 in a new manner, starting with ex2501 – a live performance of sound/sculpture artist Rie Nakajima in Würzburg, Germany. „25“ now refers to the year of release, whereas „01“ starts a new numbering – ex2501, ex2502, ex2503, ex2604, ex2605, ex2706 etc.

Coming soon are more audio releases, this time on cassette (plus digital) – plans so far include first issues of archival recordings of German artist/sculptor Jan Polacek improvising on guitar (recorded 2008), as well as a lecture by German music critic Martin Büsser (recorded 1999), who passed away far too early in 2010, aged 42. Plans do also include reissues of rare, obscure, and long deleted items of the vast area of experimentation. There might even be a magazine appearing someday: Stay tuned…

expiremental.com is open for unconventional arts of all kinds, with a focus on experimental music. If you have any suggestions for the label or want to be part of it, don’t hesitate to contact the expert
